JBL Creature II Speaker System

Gopher: What is it?
Zach: Does it eat gophers?
Gopher: I don’t think so.
Greg: Looks pretty dangerous to me. You touch it first.
Gopher: Me, why me?
Greg & Zach together: Because you’re dad!
Okay, so I touched it, and you know what? It didn’t bite, instead music started coming out of it. Then I realized that these crazy looking creatures weren’t aliens which had come to invade us, they’re JBL desktop speakers.

Sony SRS BT100 Bluetooth Speakers

Wow, Chief Gopher! Nice ice chest! What’s that? You say it’s not an ice chest. Speakers? You say it’s a set of Bluetooth laptop speakers! Well, they did a nice camouflage job; I’d never have guessed that was a set of speakers. Kind of hard to carry around aren’t they? Oh, they’re not for carrying around.

Well, I seem to be getting everything wrong today.

Let’s see here… yep, that’s what it says… Sony Buetooth laptop speakers. How about that?

Logitech Z523 Review

Have you ever seen a cartoon where the bass was so strong that it shook the guy right out of his chair? Well, I always thought they used some mono stereo system to do that, but I think I found the Logitech Z523 Speakers to do it. Yeah, I said desktop speakers. You know there are a lot of 2.1 speaker systems out there that brag about their bass, but this set’s really got something to brag about.

Bose CineMate Series II Review

There are certain brand names that are associated with quality or making the best products in their fields. Want a quality TV? Give us a Sony any day. If the gophers want some chocolate, they prefer Nestle. Well, when it comes to “Quality” speakers, Bose is usually the first name to come to most people’s minds. Every time we get to check out a Bose Digital Home Theater we get happy, and while we may get a little “sticker shock” we are never disappointed.

Harman Kardon GLA-55 Loudspeaker System

There are a lot of different words you could use to describe these speakers, but we just prefer to call them Awesome. The Harman Kardon GLA-55 Loudspeaker System looks like it might have been unearthed from Indiana Jones & The Crystal Skull. It wasn’t, but if it had been at least one thing good would have come out of that movie.

These Harman Kardon Loudspeakers pound out the sounds, and they do it from a very small package. The actual woofer is only 3 inches, but puts out the sound of a woofer 6 times its size. Looking for small speakers with big sounds? Well, look no further than the Harman Kardon GLA-55’s.

Logitech S220 Speaker System

Wait a minute, is that right? A 2.1 speaker system for that low a price? Hey, Chief Gopher, did they get the price right on this one? I mean, I’ve seen a lot of speakers systems around here, but this is more like what I’d expect to pay for a pair of Logitech’s desktop speakers. Man those folks at Logitech never cease to surprise me. Lets find out how the Logitech S220 Speaker faired against our reviewer's scrutinous review.

Logitech Z323 Speaker System

Hey wow, I didn’t know speakers could have families. That must be where they all come from. Just like when two gophers get together you end up with little gophers. I guess when big speakers systems get together they make little speaker systems. Last week I had Logitech’s Z523 desktop speakers on my desk and this week I’ve got their little brother, the Logitech Z323 Speaker. How about that?
Gee, I wonder if speaker little brothers can be as annoying as gopher little brothers can be. I remember how my little brother was, way back when. Come to think of it, he’s still the same way.

Bose Computer MusicMonitor

Old Gopher: “Bose, those little things are Bose?”
Chief Gopher: “That’s what they say on the front.”
Old Gopher: “You’re not playing a trick on me, are you? You know, taking the Bose logo and putting it on some cheapo speaker, just to see if I’ll still give it a good rating.”
Chief Gopher: “Hey, don’t believe me, listen to them. You’ll be able to tell.”
